Tips for Gorgeous Curls

Finally, after so many seasons of poker straight hair, curls are back! And the good news is you don't have to have naturally curly hair to get the look!

Whether your hair is straight, wavy or naturally curly, the key is finding the best curling iron for the type of curls you crave. Just keep in mind that the smaller the barrel, the tighter the curl. Here's Bigen's best advice for getting curly no matter what your hair type. If you want:

Lots of soft waves: Use a 2" barrel curling iron and wrap small sections around base to create lots of loose waves.

Defined waves: Wrap small sections of hair around a 1- ½" barrel curling iron. Let hair cool, then use fingers to tousle waves.

Big curls: Get lots of loose bouncy curls with a ¾" to 1" diameter curling iron. Spritz small sections with hair spray; wrap around iron and hold for about five seconds. Let cool and use fingers to separate curls.

Spiral curls: Wrap 1" sections vertically around a ½" to 1" wire-wrapped barrel to create defined curls. Let hair cool, then gently shake out curls with fingers.
